PURCELLVILLE, Va. March 31, 2023 — Beginning Wednesday, April 5, 2023, the Town’s Contractor, Fuog/InterBuild, Inc., will begin construction on the Town’s project, Hall Avenue & O Street 6” Water Main Replacement. The work will replace the aging 4” water main with a new 6” water main along N. Hall Avenue and W. O Street, from W. Main Street to N. 23rd Street. During the course of the work, residents along Hall Avenue and O Street may experience brief interruptions in water service, but the Town will notify residents in advance of any planned water shut-offs.
The work will generally occur Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. During working hours, portions of Hall Avenue and O Street may be closed to thru traffic (local traffic is permitted). Total time to complete the water main replacement and subsequent paving operations is anticipated to take 3 months. In case of inclement weather or unforeseen events, this schedule may change.
Please be aware of work zones and be alert for changes in the vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns in areas where work is being performed.
