PURCELLVILLE, Va., September 16, 2022 — The Purcellville Planning Commission has scheduled a special meeting on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 7:00pm. The meeting will be held in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 221 S. Nursery Ave. The purpose of the special meeting is to:
a.) conduct a public hearing on Fields Farm Park; Applications for Rezoning, Special Use Permits, & Commission Permits Parcel Numbers 522-29-5928 & 522-29-6381 Owner: Loudoun County Board of Supervisors and to receive comments on, consider, and possibly vote; and
b.) to continue with a work session, time permitting, specifically discussing the following subject matter of the held public hearing:
- One Rezoning application (“RZ 20‐01”), which proposes to amend the zoning designation of the subject property from “X ‐ Transitional,” to “Institutional and Public Use District” (“IP”).
- Two Special Use Permit applications (“SUP 20‐01” and “SUP 20‐02”) for the following special uses: (a) one commuter parking lot with up to 260 parking spaces; and (b) 8 lighted public recreational fields
- Two Commission Permit applications (“CP 20‐01” and “CP 20‐02”), for the purpose of assessing whether the proposed special uses, described above, are in substantial accord with the Town’s adopted Comprehensive Plan.
