PURCELLVILLE, Va. September 12, 2022 — As a reminder, residents may dispose of leaves and other yard debris by placing them in containers clearly marked “Yard Waste” or in biodegradable bags. Place the containers or bags at the curb to be picked up on regularly scheduled trash days by the Town’s Refuse and Recycling Contractor, American Disposal. The limit is 10 bags per week.
If you are using a private contractor for your leaf removal purposes, please insure that the leaves are disposed of properly. Leaves and other foreign matter should not be swept, raked or blown into the street as they make their way into the storm drains and significantly compromise the system.
