NOTICE OF COMMUNITY POLICING ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING

PURCELLVILLE, Va. November 22, 2021 — The Purcellville Community Policing Advisory Committee (CPAC) will have its next meeting on Monday December 6, 2021 at 7:00 PM. Agenda’s are posted on the Purcellville Town website at https://www.purcellvilleva.gov/913/TC-and-PC-Agendas-Videos-etc. Currently meeting are being held in-person for members and virtually for citizens due to the current circumstances related to COVID. 

The CPAC was created in 2020 by Town ordinance 20-09-01 for the purpose of (a) advising the town Council on matters related to Purcellville's police-community relations, police training, and police protocols; (b) improving public trust of Purcellville police by increasing communication and transparency; (c) raising awareness about injustices in policing; (d) promoting public education on policing matters; and (e) promoting the fair and equal treatment of all citizens by the police. The committee consists of 9 voting members, all of who are appointed by the Town Council and residents of the town.

The CPAC meeting are held once a month on the first Monday of the month, excluding holidays. 

The meetings will start at 7:00 PM in-person at Town Hall or virtually for citizens. Participation information for each of the meetings can be found on the Town’s website.
