[ARCHIVED] News Release - Business and Non Profit Organizations Invited to Participate in Celebrate Purcellvill

PURCELLVILLE, VA, August 24, 2021  The Town of Purcellville and the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board invite Purcellville businesses and non-profit organizations to register online to participate in Celebrate Purcellville. This new, week-long, town-wide event will be held October 4-10, 2021, and is designed to encourage citizens near and far to visit the Town of Purcellville to shop at local businesses, enjoy local food and beverage options, tour the town, and enjoy live music and activities. 

 

HOW DO I REGISTER MY BUSINESS/NON-PROFIT?

Businesses that have a current Town of Purcellville business license and non-profits located within the incorporated town limits are welcome to participate. There is a $25 fee to register for Celebrate Purcellville, and the deadline to register is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17. The application is available online.

 

Businesses and organizations that participate in Celebrate Purcellville will be listed on the Celebrate Purcellville web page and in the Celebrate Purcellville passport. Participating businesses and organizations will have special offers, discounts, coupons, or other giveaways for those who present their Celebrate Purcellville passport during the week-long event. WHAT IS THE CELEBRATE PURCELLVILLE PASSPORT?

Citizens will be able to print Celebrate Purcellville passports from the event webpage before October 4. Printed copies will also be available for pick up at Town Hall. The passport is available to citizens joining in the celebration to take to participating businesses and organizations to be stamped. The list of participating businesses and
 non-profits will be available on the Celebrate Purcellville web page.  Passports with a minimum of 10 stamps can be turned in by October 10 for a chance to win a prize. Winners will be announced on Sunday, October 10 during the event finale. 

 

WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE SCHEDULED FOR CITIZENS?

In addition to getting the Celebrate Purcellville passport stamped throughout the week, there will be trivia, a movie, live music, food, guided history tours, and more! Please check the Celebrate Purcellville webpage for the most up-to-date schedule of events.
