PURCELLVILLE, VA, August 2, 2021 — The Virginia Department of Health awarded the Town of Purcellville Water Department a grant in the amount of $32,942 for source water protection. Grant funds will be used to install protective fencing around four Town wells to prevent contamination from trespassing, vandalism, theft, graffiti and physical damage. The Town of Purcellville is committed to safely and responsibly maintaining water service to the Town. This fencing project complements other long-term initiatives and provides a more secure water system overall.
