[ARCHIVED] News Release - Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Introduces Music in the Tabernacle

PURCELLVILLE, Va. May 14, 2021 — The Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is pleased to introduce Music in the Tabernacle, a series of four virtual concerts featuring eight local musicians and bands. The concerts were recorded in the Bush Tabernacle by OHM Productions with Loudoun DJ as the host, and will be published on the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Facebook page each Saturday in June, 2021.

The schedule of virtual concerts is below.

  • June 5, 7 p.m. — Ben Demase / Megan Waltman
  • June 12, 7 p.m. — Virginia Hipnecks / King St.
  • June 19, 7 p.m. — Tobago Bay / Willie White Band / Baxter Tunes Folk & Roll
  • June 26, 7 p.m. — Hard Swimmin’ Fish

Music in the Tabernacle is sponsored by: Mountaineer Pipe, Keren Jayne Homes, Presidential Bank, Bayside Professional Services, DiRenzo Family Dentistry, Kettles and Grains, Longhouse Architects, Loudoun Valley Roofing, Purcellville Business Association, and Shamrock Music Shoppe. The Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board thanks these sponsors for their generosity and recognizes the Bush Tabernacle for supporting this event.

Music in the Tabernacle was established this year to continue the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board’s tradition of highlighting local performers. Since the annual Purcellville Music and Arts Festival wasn’t held in 2020 or 2021 as a result of COVID, Music in the Tabernacle offers a way to showcase some local musicians virtually. The Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board encourages you to enjoy these performances online to support the performers.
