PURCELLVILLE, Va. February 24, 2021 — Beginning on Monday, March 1, 2021 and continuing for several weeks, the Town of Purcellville staff will be conducting water system maintenance that involves the testing and operating of the water distribution system valves throughout the town. Some water customers of the Town may experience sporadic cases of discolored water and/or low pressure issues for a short time due to the opening and closing of valves during this activity. This work will occur weekdays between the hours of 7AM and 3PM. Town utility vehicles are clearly marked and employees will carry identification which they will produce upon request. Part of this maintenance is to ensure that the town is able to operate critical valves in the system when necessary and also ensure that valves are operational for our annual flushing program which is set to begin April 4, 2021. The Town appreciates the patience and understanding of residents and visitors during this maintenance period.
