[ARCHIVED] News Release - Town-wide Paving

PURCELLVILLE, Va.  November 16, 2020 — Beginning on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, the Town’s contractor, Stuart M. Perry, will be conducting milling and paving operations on the following streets:  

  • Remington Drive
  • A Street (2 locations - 20th Street to Maple and Yaxley Drive to 287 roundabout)
  • North 26th Street
  • Glenmeade Circle
  • Dunridge Court
  • East Loudoun Valley Drive

 

The work is scheduled to begin November 17, 2020 on Remington Drive, North 26th Street, and A Street (Yaxley to the roundabout), and finish with A Street (20th to Maple), Glenmeade, Dunridge, and East Loudoun Valley Drive the week of November 23, and possibly carrying over through the week of November 30th due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

 

The work will generally occur Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.  The roadways will remain open with temporary lane closures during working hours. Parking will be restricted on the proposed streets as well during working hours.  The total estimated time to complete the milling and paving operations is anticipated to take approximately 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. In case of inclement weather or unforeseen events, this schedule may change.  

 

Please be aware of work zones and be alert for changes in vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns in areas where work is being performed.
