[ARCHIVED] News Release - Town of Purcellville Weekly Coronavirus Update 06.25.2020

PURCELLVILLE, Va., June 25, 2020 — Attached is the Town of Purcellville Weekly Coronavirus Update. Purcellville enters Phase 3 of reopening on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Phase 3 guidelines include the removal of restaurant and non-essential retail business occupancy caps, entertainment venues may open at 50% capacity, and pools and gyms may open at 75% capacity. Gatherings may include up to 250 people. Social distancing and disinfecting measures are still in place for each business sector. However, please refer to the specific Business Sector Guidelines for full details of reopening.


The Town of Purcellville is hosting the annual Independence Day parade on Saturday, July 4th at noon. The parade will begin at Loudoun Valley High School and end at Emerick Elementary School. For additional details, include route details and safety precautions, see the Town’s website. The parade will only include vehicles due to current COVID-19 restrictions. Those who would like to participate, please complete the online application on or before July 1, 2020. We ask that both participants and spectators adhere to social distancing guidelines. Friday, June 26th is the deadline to participate in the Town’s surveys regarding input to determine an equitable way to disperse CARES Act Funding from the Federal Government to the varied interests that contribute to the sustainability of Purcellville to include non-profits and businesses.
