PURCELLVILLE, Va., June 18, 2020 — Attached is the Town of Purcellville Weekly Coronavirus Update. Purcellville continues to operate under Phase Two guidelines under Executive Order 65. Executive Order 65 allows for 50% capacity of indoor and outdoor dining at restaurants, 30% occupancy of indoor fitness facilities, reopening of pools for exercise (with restrictions), and public and private indoor gatherings of up to 50 individuals.
The Town of Purcellville would like to remind residents that drive-through COVID-19 Infection and Antibody testing is available, tomorrow, Friday, June 19th, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., outside the former Rite Aid location (801 E. Main Street, Purcellville) on the corner of East Main Street and Ken Culbert Jr. Road. Tests will cost $150, but those tested will receive a bill they can submit for potential insurance reimbursement. Drivers should use caution in that area due to possible traffic delays.
Local nonprofit and faith-based organizations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic are encouraged to apply for a grant under Loudoun County’s CARES Act allocated funds. Applications are available at loudoun.gov/GrantOpportunities. The deadline to apply has been extended to Monday, June 22nd by 5:00 p.m.
Additionally, please join us in celebrating the graduating seniors of the Class of 2020 on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at noon by making some noise outside your residence or place of business! The Town is also accepting short videos (10-15 seconds) of well wishes for graduates via email at events@purcellvilleva.gov. Please ensure appropriate content for all viewers. Videos will be compiled into a message that will be available on the Town of Purcellville’s Facebook page upon completion. Deadline for submission is June 24, 2020.
