PURCELLVILLE, Va. June 1, 2020 — All local restaurants and businesses must resume collecting meals tax from patrons effective today, June 1, 2020. Phone calls and email reminders have been made to each of the impacted businesses as a reminder to reinstate collection. The Purcellville Town Council implemented a Meals Tax Holiday for April and May in support of local businesses and patrons of food establishments. All applicable businesses are reminded to remit any meals tax collected and the sales report filing that was due May 20, 2020 for the April reporting period. The May reporting period will be due Monday, June 22, 2020.
