PURCELLVILLE, Va. May 18, 2020— The Town of Purcellville is planning a virtual Memorial Day Ceremony that will be recorded and published on the Town of Purcellville’s Facebook page and the Purcellville Parks and Recreation’s Facebook page. Due to the forecast for rain this week, the portion of the ceremony that takes place at the Tear Drop was recorded on the morning of May 17. To respect the Governor’s order of not permitting gatherings of 10 or more people, we did not notify the public or the Council. We apologize for any confusion or concern this may have caused.
The Town of Purcellville encourages all citizens to honor our Fallen Veterans by watching the ceremony from the safety of their homes on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2020.
