PURCELLVILLE, Va., May 13, 2020 — The Town of Purcellville would like to remind residents that an absentee ballot for the Thursday, June 4, 2020 town elections can be requested until one week prior to the election, therefore no later than May 28, 2020. More information on absentee voting and instructions on how to request an absentee ballot can be found at https://www.loudoun.gov/186/Absentee-Voting.
Voters who have received their absentee ballots should return the ballot by mail or in person as soon as possible to the Office of Elections, 750 Miller Drive, SE, Suite C, Leesburg, VA 20175 to avoid any lapse in mailing time and election day. There are over 700 absentee ballots that were requested and mailed out, but unfortunately have not been returned. In order to be counted, all absentee ballots must be received by the Office of Elections no later than 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2020, Election Day.
Town residents may vote in person on Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Bush Tabernacle, 250 S. Nursery Avenue. Elections staff will be adhering to strict social distancing guidelines, and the number of people allowed inside the polling place at once will be limited. Voters should expect delays when voting in person on Election Day. Voters are strongly encouraged to wear a face mask or covering at the polling location.
