VEHICLE STRUCK BUILDING IN EARLY MORNING HOURS
PURCELLVILLE, Va. (February 22, 2020) — Early this morning at approximately 3:53am a vehicle lost control and stuck a lower level apartment dwelling in the 100 block of 16th Street. The collision started a structure fire, but all occupants in the building were evacuated safely by the Purcellville Police Department and Loudoun County Fire and Rescue personnel. Loudoun County Fire and Rescue personnel contained the structure fire, and extinguished the flames. Two families have been displaced due to the incident, but they are being assisted by the American Red Cross in finding temporary housing. The driver of the vehicle has been taken to the hospital, but no one involved has sustained any life-threatening injuries. The incident is currently under investigation.
