[ARCHIVED] News Release - 2019 Miglia Iconic Car Rally to Visit Purcellville on Sat., Oct. 26

PURCELLVILLE, Va., October 25, 2019 — The Town of Purcellville will be a brief stop on the iconic 1000 Miglia Warm-Up USA event this Saturday, October 26 around 10:00 am. Purcellville residents and business are encouraged to come out to see the iconic vehicles as they drive through Town and cheer them on.


Approximately 25 cars are expected over a period of approximately 30 to 60 minutes. The route of travel will be north on Route 690 from Middleburg, east on Main Street, left on North 23rd Street and right into the Town parking lot. The drivers will make a brief stop to have their “passports” officially stamped by Mayor Kwasi A. Fraser and then continue north on Route 690. “It is an honor for Purcellville to be part of the U.S. version of one of the most famous car races in the world and we look forward to welcoming each driver of the 1000 Miglia Iconic Car Rally to the great Town of Purcellville,” said Mayor Kwasi Fraser.
