PURCELLVILLE, Va. July 31, 2019 — National Night Out (NNO) in Purcellville will take place on August 6, 2019 between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM. The Purcellville Police Department would like to invite our neighbors to join us and other first responders, for an evening of fellowship and fun. Activities start in the Giant Food Store parking lot at 1000 E Main Street, Purcellville, VA for a Free Family Picnic from 5:30 to 6:00 PM. A caravan of first responders will then go through the town to various neighborhoods hosting events, including a new stop this year at the Purcellville Library, and finishing at the Loudoun Valley Community Center at 320 W School Street, Purcellville, VA with free Root Beer Floats at 8:00 PM.
National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our communities safer, better places to live. Neighbors across the nation will host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other community events that help develop the relationship between neighbors, law enforcement, and local first responders, while fostering a sense of community.
