CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN ON THE A STREET TRAIL PROJECT

PURCELLVILLE, Va. June 3, 2019 — Beginning the week of June 10, 2019, the Town’s Contractor, Arthur Construction Company, Inc., will begin work on the A Street Trail from Blue Ridge Middle School to Maple Avenue project. Construction will include the installation of a ten foot wide, multi-use asphalt path that will provide the missing connection between Blue Ridge Middle School and the intersection of S. Maple Avenue at A Street. This project is being funded by Loudoun County.

The work will generally occur Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM during the summer months, and 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM once school resumes in late August. During the construction, the roadway will remain open with temporary lane closures during working hours. Total construction time is anticipated to take approximately 5 months. In case of inclement weather or unforeseen events, this schedule may change.

Please be aware of work zones and be alert for changes in vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns in areas where work is being performed.
