[ARCHIVED] News Release - Volunteers Needed for the Town-Wide Clean Up

PURCELLVILLE, Va. February 12, 2019 — On Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., the Town of Purcellville is once again partnering with Keep Loudoun Beautiful for the annual Town-wide clean-up day. Last year, we had over 300 volunteers and collected 300 bags - over 1 ton of trash and recycling! The Town of Purcellville invites all citizens, families, individuals, sports teams/organizations, scouts, church groups, and all other volunteers to participate in this beneficial effort to help keep Loudoun beautiful which will focus on roadside and trail clean-up. Volunteers are encouraged to participate by helping maintain the mission of Keep Loudoun Beautiful:

- Maintain the natural beauty and visual quality of Loudoun County

- Encourage and educate citizens to keep Loudoun beautiful

- Promote public awareness of environmental challenges and suggested solutions, like     reducing, reusing, and recycling

- Improve County trash disposal and eliminate illegal dumping

For more information and/or to register, please contact Clay Grisius, the Town of Purcellville’s area leader, via email at Purcellville.klb@gmail.com or you can contact Amie Ware.

The rain date for the clean-up will be Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
