FEDERAL FURLOUGH UTILITY BILL RELIEF
PURCELLVILLE, VA. January 24, 2019 – As the financial effects from the Federal Government shutdown continue to impact our area, the Town of Purcellville is extending relief for water and sewer utility bills. Mayor Kwasi Fraser stated, “We understand the financial burden the government shutdown has placed on families in Purcellville and across the United States. As such our management has assessed and will be implementing ways to alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by impacted families in Purcellville.”
If you are a furloughed federal employee/contractor and are struggling to pay your upcoming water/sewer utility bill, please contact our Finance Department to discuss payment arrangements. Upon verification of your federal employment status or contractor work identification, we will work with you on a payment arrangement that will allow you to extend your payments to prevent service disconnect and waive late fees. The next water and sewer utility bills will mail on February 1, 2019, with a due date of March 1, 2019.
Payment plan information is available at:
