Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony - December 7
6:30 p.m. - Town Hall, 221 S. Nursery Ave.
Join us at Purcellville Town Hall located at 221 S. Nursery Ave. as Mayor Kwasi Fraser flips the switch to light the Town Tree. Attendees will enjoy caroling and a performance by the Loudounettes from the Dance Academy of Loudoun and the Loudoun Valley High School Women's Choir.
Breakfast with Santa - December 8
7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. – Bethany United Methodist Church

Annual Holiday Lights Tours - December 14 & 16
Friday 6:00 p.m-9:00 p.m.; Sunday, 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. - Town Hall
Bring your family to ride through Purcellville to view the beautiful displays of holiday decorations and lights throughout the Town! Each tour takes approximately 40 minutes and it is worth every minute, viewing some of the amazing holiday displays in Purcellville. The tours are hosted by the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB) and sponsored by Giant, and the Sengpiehl Insurance Group. Tours will depart from Town Hall. Tickets are complimentary and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis with tickets for each tour available the hour before the tour starts (i.e. tickets for a 6 p.m. tour will be available at 5 p.m.; tickets for the 7 p.m. tour will be available starting at 6 p.m.). There is a limited amount of tickets for all tours. The last tour on Friday will leave at 9:00 p.m., and the last tour on Sunday leaves at 8:00 p.m. For the second year in a row, Discover Purcellville is will sponsor the holiday lights contest and award first, second, and third place winners.
15th Annual Christmas Parade – December 15
Noon to 1:30 p.m. – North Maple Avenue to Main Street to 21st Street
Be sure to be street-side for the Town’s 15th Annual Christmas Parade! This year, the parade will start at Loudoun Valley High School, turn right onto Main Street, then right onto North 21st Street and conclude just past the Purcellville Train Station. For the second year in a row, the Town’s Economic Development Advisory Committee will host the Christmas Parade Float Contest, with awards sponsored by Chick-fil-A, Magnolia’s at the Mill, and Dunkin’ Donuts.
10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. - Purcellville Train Station – 200 North 21st Street
The Purcellville Parks & Recreation Advisory Board is hosting an ornament decorating workshop beginning at 10 a.m. Santa will be on hand for photos shortly after the parade ends, approximately 1:30 p.m. through 3:00 p.m. (bring your own camera).
10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. – Historic Bush Tabernacle – 250 S. Nursery Avenue
Enjoy the popular Lego Land Train display beginning at 10:00 a.m. There will also be face painting and live music! Pictures with Santa will also be available from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. for photos (bring your own camera).
Santa’s Ride through Town – December 21 and 22
6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Watch for Santa who will ride a fire truck through Town with the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company.
While enjoying all of the Town’s hometown holiday festivities, be sure to keep an eye out for the custom, hand-painted ornaments and winter scene decorative banners throughout Town. The decorations are original pieces created by local artists that represent various aspects of the community.
