PURCELLVILLE, Va. — OCTOBER 12, 2018 — In July 2018, the Town awarded a contract for the completion of an administrative organization and operational assessment to The Novak Consulting Group. Since that time, the consultant met with nearly 50 staff members including 21 individuals and 8 focus groups as well as the Town Manager, the management team and members of Town Council. Novak has toured the various town facilities, requested data and information, and have presented their preliminary observations to the Town Council.
The purpose of the organization and operational assessment is to review and assess the Town’s current organizational structure, operations and service delivery policies, practices, processes, and staffing. The goal of the assessment is to improve efficiency and effectiveness in providing services to the community.
The Town would like to receive input from residents, business interests and community stakeholders on what matters most to you about your Town government. On Monday, October 22, 2018, two round table sessions have been scheduled as follows:
11:30 AM – 1:30 PM (lunch provided)
6:30 PM – 8:30 PM (hors d’oeuvres provided)
The consultants from Novak Consulting Group will be onsite and will have several questions prepared to engage you in conversation with your neighbors. Questions will range in topic from Town Government Strengths and Weaknesses and Service Delivery to the Future of Purcellville. At the conclusion of the session, a summary of input received will be prepared and included in the final Organizational Assessment Report which will be presented to the Town Council later this year.
