[ARCHIVED] News Release - National Coffee With A Cop Day on October 3, 2018

PURCELLVILLE, Va. September 18, 2018 — Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, is the third annual National Coffee with a Cop Day. Around the country, law enforcement agencies, businesses, and organizations are hosting relaxed, informal gatherings letting citizens talk about issues they feel are important. Purcellville Police Department invites all citizens to join the conversation and discuss community issues/concerns. This year, McDonald’s will host from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM.

Coffee with a Cop’s casual conversations help put real faces and personalities on each side, bring concerns to the table, and create better understanding of all involved. The aim is to provide everyone with a voice, enhance cultural awareness, and strengthen understanding. For more information about the national efforts visit www.coffeewithacop.com.

The October program will be part of a nationwide movement to encourage communication and positive interactions between law enforcement and the public. In Purcellville, our event will begin at 7:30 AM on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at McDonald’s located at 121 N. Maple Ave., Purcellville, VA.  If you have questions about this event, please contact the Purcellville Police Department at 540.338.7422 or visit https://purcellvilleva.gov/858/PPD-Community-Events.
