PURCELLVILLE, Va. AUGUST 2, 2018 — National Night Out (NNO) in Purcellville will take place on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM. The Purcellville Police Department would like to invite our neighbors to join us and our other first responders for an evening of fellowship and of course, fun! Activities will start in the Giant Food Store parking lot at 1000 E. Main Street with a free family picnic from 5:30 to 6:00 PM, followed by a caravan of first responders through the town to various neighborhoods hosting events. We will finish at the Loudoun Valley Community Center at 320 W. School Street with an ice cream social at 8:00 PM.
NNO is an annual community building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our communities safer, better places to live. Neighbors across the nation will host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other community events that help develop the relationship between neighbors, law enforcement, and local first responders, while bringing back a sense of community.
