[ARCHIVED] News Release - Update to Water Tower Project-Potential Cell Service Interruptions

PURCELLVILLE, Va. JULY 10, 2018 — Residents and businesses may have experienced interruptions with cellular service in Town during the relocation of cellular antennas from the Maple Avenue Water Tower to the temporary on-site tower last month. The relocation of the cellular antennas was necessary prior to beginning the renovation and painting of the interior and exterior of the water tower. The Town anticipates the temporary tower will be used through the fall.

It is extremely important for residents and businesses experiencing cell interruptions to contact their cell carrier directly to ensure that carriers are made aware of the problem. After reporting the issue to the carrier, residents may also report an interruption of service to the Town by contacting Sheryl Hood, shood@purcellvilleva.gov or 540-338-7440, Ext. 221. Complaints will be documented and Town staff will follow up with the carriers.

Please report service issues directly to the cellular carriers via:
