PURCELLVILLE, Va. MARCH 23, 2018 —The Town of Purcellville’s Economic Development Advisory Committee was asked by Town Council to conduct a business sentiment survey of Purcellville businesses in early 2017. The Survey which was available online from January 2017 through March 2017 resulted in approximately 65 participants/respondents who provided responses to eighteen (18) questions. The intent of the survey was to gain an understanding of challenges the Purcellville business community is facing, the business community’s needs in regard to hiring employees, their satisfaction with access to high speed internet services and how the Town can better support businesses and their success in Purcellville. Findings from the survey are being discussed by the Economic Development Advisory Committee as they work to fulfill their mission of making recommendations on new policies and programs to strengthen the Town’s commercial tax base by supporting the existing business community and encouraging new businesses to locate within the Town. The Committee, which meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM, encourages participation by all citizens and businesses.
The results of the 2017 Business Survey can now be found on the Town's website. (www.purcellvilleva.gov, Business & Info tab, Economic Development, Business Survey 2017)
