[ARCHIVED] News Release - Purcellville Police Dept. Launches New Volunteers in Police Services (VIPS) Program

PURCELLVILLE, Va. February 22, 2018 — The Purcellville Police Department (PPD) is proud to announce the inception of the new Volunteers in Police Services (VIPS) program. The VIPS Program is responsible for enhancing the mission, vision, and values of the PPD as well as the promotion of community involvement, awareness, and the promotion of public safety and all that it entails.

On March 22, 2018 at 6:30 PM, the first VIPS orientation will take place in the Council Chambers at the Purcellville Town Hall. PPD has various positions for VIPS team members to fill including Customer Service Specialists, Homework Club Tutors, Language Interpreters, Police Chaplains, and much more.
