[ARCHIVED] News Release - Volunteers Need for Town Wide Clean Up

 

PURCELLVILLE, Va. February 5, 2018 — On Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm the Town of Purcellville is once again partnering with Keep Loudoun Beautiful for the annual Town wide clean-up day. Last year, we had over 300 volunteers and collected 300 bags- over 1 ton of trash and recycling! The Town of Purcellville invites all citizens, families, individuals, sports teams/organizations, scouts, church groups, and all other volunteers to participate in this beneficial effort to help keep Loudoun beautiful. This event will include roadside and trail clean-up. Volunteers are encouraged to participate by helping maintain the mission of Keep Loudoun Beautiful:



Maintain the natural beauty and visual quality of Loudoun County


Encourage and educate citizens to keep Loudoun beautiful.


Promote public awareness of environmental challenges and suggested solutions, like


Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling.


Improve county trash disposal and eliminate illegal dumping.
