PURCELLVILLE, Va. January 19, 2018 — Mayor Kwasi Fraser issued the following statement regarding the ongoing independent investigations in the Town:
“As you know, the Purcellville Town Council has engaged Wilson Elser as outside counsel to conduct an audit of the prior investigation into the allegations against the Chief of Police as well as to investigate allegations against other Town officials.
To preserve the independence and integrity of the pending audit and investigation and to preserve and protect the privacy of Town personnel and officials, the Town will not make any comment regarding matters that may potentially be part of or related to the audit and investigation. We thank you for your patience as we support this process.”
