PURCELLVILLE, Va. December 8, 2017 — Beginning on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, Contractors for Purcellville Children’s Academy will be working in the right-of-way on Ken Culbert Lane to install waterline for their new facility. The work requires that a short section of Ken Culbert Lane (from just north of the Rite Aid entrance to just south of the intersection with Maple Flats Terrace) be closed from 8:00AM to 4:00 PM. The entrance to Rite Aid off Ken Culbert Lane will be open while the work is taking place. The work area will be restored and reopened fully at the end of the day. Vehicles should use alternate routes through Maple Flats Terrace and Misty Pond Terrace. This schedule may change due to inclement weather or changes in work conditions. The weather makeup day will be Thursday, December 14.
During the week of December 18, the contractor will be connecting storm and sanitary sewer lines within the right-of-way. This work will require Ken Culbert Lane to be reduced down to one operating lane. This work will take place between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Please be aware of changing traffic patterns and workers in the right-of-way while work is taking place.
