[ARCHIVED] News Release - Parade Route and Road Closures on Saturday, Dec. 9

Purcellville, Virginia, December 6, 2017--The annual Christmas in Purcellville Parade is Saturday, December 9th from noon to approximately 1:30 p.m. The parade will start at 21st and Main Street, continue to North Maple where the parade will turn left and end at Loudoun Valley High School. There will be several road closures in Town to accommodate the parade. Please make note of the road closures and times below (these are approximate), and adjust your plans accordingly:

  • 21st street at Ashleigh to Main Street from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • 23rd street will be closed from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Main Street and N Maple will be closed from 11:55 a.m. through 1:30 p.m.
  • 21st at O Street will be closed from 11:55 a.m. through 1:30 p.m.
  • Main at Hatcher, Nursery, 18th, 16th, 12th will be closed from 11:55 a.m. through 1:30 p.m.

We anticipate that traffic will return to normal at 1:30 p.m. after the parade is over. Thank you for your patience. More information about all of the Christmas in Purcellville festivities is available on the Town of Purcellville website at www.PurcellvilleVa.gov.
