[ARCHIVED] News Release - Comprehensive Plan Update Community Engagement Event

PURCELLVILLE, Va. (November 20, 2017) — On Wednesday, December 6, 2017, the Purcellville Planning Commission will host an “open mic” public engagement event to review and discuss the Purcellville Comprehensive Plan Update (“Plan Update”) with members of the community. The “open mic” public engagement event will be held at Purcellville Town Hall, located at 221 Nursery Avenue, in Purcellville Virginia. As we enter the final stages of adoption, the Planning Commission is seeking feedback on the latest Plan Update from members of the community and all community members are invited to attend the engagement session.

Participant feedback will further guide the Planning Commission’s effort on the Plan Update.

The Comprehensive Plan is an important set of policies and goals that guide the future development of the Town. Purcellville’s current Comprehensive Plan was adopted in December 2006 and looks forward to the year 2025. The Plan Update (currently underway) will incorporate changes the Town has already seen over the past decade and reflect Purcellville’s vision for the Town into the future. Input from community members is essential in the comprehensive planning process.

More information is available on the Plan Update Website (www.planpurcellville.com/). Any questions about this “open mic” engagement session or the Plan Update effort may be directed to Erin Goodrich, Senior Planner.

If you require any type of reasonable accommodation as a result of physical, sensory or mental disability in order to participate in this meeting, please contact Erin Goodrich at least three days in advance of the meeting.
