PURCELLVILLE, Va. October 17, 2017 - The Purcellville Police Department will be conducting a Prescription Drug “Take Back” on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 10am-2pm in the parking lot of 250 S. Nursery Ave. (directly across from Town Hall).
Rates of prescription drug abuse in the United States are increasing at alarming rates, as are the number of accidental poisonings and overdoses due to these drugs. These unused and unwanted medications often fall into the wrong hands and are misused or abused, and this program ensures they are disposed of properly.
Since the inception of this program in 2010, over 7,000 pounds of unwanted and unused prescription medications have been taken off the streets of Loudoun County including Purcellville.
