[ARCHIVED] News Release - Volunteers Needed for Town Wide Clean-Up

PURCELLVILLE, Va. January 31, 2017 — On Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 8:00 am until noon the Town of Purcellville is once again partnering with Keep Loudoun Beautiful for the annual Town wide clean-up day. Last year, we had nearly 200 volunteers and collected 145 bags- nearly ¾ tons of trash and recycling! The Town of Purcellville invites all citizens, families, individuals, sports teams/organizations, scouts, church groups, and all other volunteers to participate in this beneficial effort to help keep Loudoun beautiful. This event will include roadside and trail clean-up. Volunteers are encouraged to participate by helping maintain the mission of Keep Loudoun Beautiful:



Maintain the natural beauty and visual quality of Loudoun County


Encourage and educate citizens to keep Loudoun beautiful.


Promote public awareness of environmental challenges and suggested solutions, like


Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling.


Improve county trash disposal and eliminate illegal dumping.
