PURCELLVILLE, Va. December 1, 2016 — Beginning on Friday, December 2, 2016, survey crews from ATCS will be gathering information at the Hirst Farm Pond located off of Devonshire Circle in the Hirst Farm subdivision. The survey work is being done as a part of the Town’s contract with URS (ATCS is URS’s subcontractor) to design the retrofit of the pond. This project will enhance the safety and functionality of the pond by converting its current design as a sediment basin to a Level I wet pond. The project is being funded in part by a Stormwater Local Assistance Fund (SLAF) grant awarded to the Town by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
The survey work is expected to last approximately one week, dependent on weather and other unforeseen conditions. ATCS’s vehicles are clearly marked and employees will carry identification which they will produce upon request.
