The Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company along with the Purcellville Volunteer Rescue Squad will host the annual Purcellville Safety Center Open House on October 3, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm. All are invited to partake in the following activities: Get a photo with Sparky the Fire dog, meet & greet local first responders, and see the latest in first responder equipment. Ongoing activities for kids include: Stop, Drop, Cover, and Roll practice station, Put Out the Fire, Fire Truck Rides, Escape Route Obstacle Course, and 911 Simulations. Other ongoing activities include: how to use a Fire Extinguisher, proper care & maintenance of smoke alarms, PPE demonstrations, PVFC supporter merchandise for sale.

The following live action demonstrations will take place; Helicopter Landing, Tools of the Trade, and Ladder Truck demos.

Purcellville Volunteer Rescue Squad will also be on hand to show residents the Ambulances, a First Aide Station, and how to join the Explorer Program.
