Celerbate Purcellville and Bank of Clarke CountyJoin Us to Celebrate Purcellville!

Celebrate Purcellville was held from October 4 – 10, 2021. During this week-long, town-wide event, people used the new Celebrate Purcellville Passport to get special offers, discounts, and giveaways from participating businesses and non-profits, and had a chance to win a prize!  Celebrate Purcellville will concluded on Sunday, October 10 with live music, treats, drink, and activities in Dillon’s Woods. Celebrate Purcellville Passport 

The Celebrate Purcellville Passport included a list of the businesses and organizations that participated in the week-long event and details about the specials they offered to those who presented the passport to receive a sticker from October 4 - 10. The passport also included information about additional activities that happened during the week. Passports with a minimum of 10 stickers were turned in for a chance to win prizes that were donated by participating businesses. Winners were announced on Sunday, October 10 during the event finale in Dillon’s Woods.  

Celebrate Purcellville Activities

GREAT PURCELLVILLE WORD SEARCH—Discover Purcellville’s art project this year is Words on a Fence. The Town, the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, the Purcellville Arts Council, and Discover Purcellville are jointly hosting a word search and story contest based on this community art project. Thirty Words on a Fence painted by local artists have been placed in different spots throughout Purcellville. The Celebrate Purcellville Passport will include a page for people to write down the Words on a Fence they find during the week of October 4 -10. The next step is a story writing contest. Elementary, middle, and high school students can use the words to write and submit a story for a chance to win prizes. MOVIE AND TRIVIA NIGHT—On Friday, October 8, the Bush Tabernacle and the Purcellville Library partnered to host a Scooby Doo movie and trivia night at the Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink at 250 S. Nursery Ave. 

SCOOBY-DOO MYSTERY WEEKEND AT THE PURCELLVILLE LIBRARY—As part of the town's Celebrate Purcellville festivities, the Purcellville Library hosted a Scooby-Doo mystery weekend. 

LIVE MUSIC AT THE PURCELLVILLE PUB—On Saturday, October 9,The Purcellville Pub hosted live music performed by Dave Mininberg from 6 to 8 p.m. 

LIVE MUSIC AND ACTIVITIES IN DILLON’S WOODS—From noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board hosted live music and a variety of games and activities in Dillon’s Woods – part of the Fireman’s Field complex. Featured performers included: Rick Reaves Jazz Combo, Ben Demase, Sidetracked, Loudounettes from the Dance Academy of Loudoun, The Retrones, and The Darby Brothers. The Purcellville Arts Council continued their community art project for decorating tiles. A variety of games were also set up. Beverages were sold by American Legion Post 293. Those who obtained at least 10 stickers in their Celebrate Purcellville Passport and turned it in were entered into random drawings for prizes that were donated by businesses that are participating in Celebrate Purcellville.

Celebrate Purcellville is co-hosted by the Town of Purcellville and the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
