News Release - Police Report

PURCELLVILLE, Va. April 13, 2017 - 

04/06/2017 – 12:51p.m. 700 Blk. E. Main St. Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle

Business owner reported that one of his work trucks was missing and suspected stolen. Investigation determined that an ex-employee had taken the truck overnight and returned it shortly after reporting the incident to police. The vehicle had not been damaged and the business owner did not wish to pursue charges against the ex-employee.

04/07/2017 – 08:24p.m. 100 Blk. W. Main St. Domestic Dispute

Police were called to the scene for a domestic dispute between a divorced couple and whether child custody agreements were being honored. The situation was mediated and no further police action was requested.

04/07/2017 – 09:38p.m. 200 Blk. W. Main St. Domestic Dispute 

Police were contacted in reference to a dispute between a husband and wife. No assault(s) took place and one of the parties agreed to leave for the night.

04/09/2017 – 01:05a.m. 700 Blk. E. Main St. Narcotics Violation

A Police Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and determined that the driver was in possession of narcotics. Charges pending.

04/12/2017 – 01:30a.m. 200 Blk. N. Maple Ave. Domestic Dispute

Police Officer on patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot after hours that was occupied. It was determined that the occupants were having a domestic argument. No assaults took place and the situation had calmed down prior to police leaving the scene.
